Verdict

Jazacosta is taken to oblige in this race with Mannlichen and Spring Secret put forward as the dangers. This race looks a drop in class for Amanda Perrett's charge and having ran three times in respectable grade, the colt is taken to finally get his head infront. Mark Johnston's maidens are always to be respected and Derby entry Mannlichen makes a low key debut. As a son of Selkirk, it will be interesting to see how he adapts to fast ground. Spring Secret is likely to be a fair price given unfashionable connections. Bred to be effective over the trip, he is related to useful performer, Crimson Dancer. Indian Fiesta never showed on debut at Doncaster in May. Supernoverre was friendless on introduction at Newbury. Tropical Blue was nicely backed on introduction and was probably too green to do himself justice. Threestepstoheaven looked in need of the run on debut. Jazacosta is the pick in a race that won't take a lot of winning.
