Verdict

Bold Cross is given the nod ahead of Torquemada and Unlimited. Bold Cross seems at his best with fast ground obtaining and provided that the rain stayw away, we can expect to see him rattling home inside the final furlong. Torquemada hasn't gone into the winners' enclosure for two years. A course-and-distance winner, he has to be respected inspite of this statistic. Unlimited is often the subject of support and is probably over his best trip. The handicapper hasn't made life particularly easy. Maia has never won over further than six furlongs. Lap Of Honour is on a long losing run. Yerevan steps up in trip and has a first time tongue tie. Littleton Telchar has been dropped down the handicap by 4lbs since we saw him last term. Bold Cross is the pick.
