In depth
Verdict
Khabfair has enough scope to go in at the second time of asking, with Nick's Grey and Vilamoura worth a mention. The latter makes his debut on the strength of some encouraging homework, and despite being gelded already, may be good enough to put up a bold show. Khabfair is the one to beat though, judged on his introduction at Newbury where he showed plenty of promise behind Oriental Warrior. Amanda Perret's inmates normally come on for the run and he will have improved a lot. Nick's Grey found Ascot nursery company too hot last time but has a run-of-the-mill maiden in him based on his earlier Nottingham effort, and of the rest, watch out for Your Just Lovely. Her trainer knows how to bring them along and she may pay to follow. The form pick though is Khabfair who gets a confident vote.
