In depth

Verdict

The revised terms give Joy And Pain a solid chance of reversing recent form with the admirable Quantum Leap, who is respected but looks vulnerable off top weight today. Kew The Music and Minimum Bid are others that arrive here with solid claims and are worthy of consideration for the places, while We're Stoneybroke will not be too far away if he runs up to the form of his course victory last month. The step up to seven furlong proved inconclusive for him last time out though and he is probably best watched this afternoon. Quantum Leap, who has been raised 10lb since winning over course and distance just after Christmas, is holding his form well and there is no reason to suggest he will not run his race. However, Joy And Pain is 2lb better off for a neck and head beating from the last time they came up against each other and edges the margins in a very tight one to call this time around.
