Verdict
Jeremy Noseda has enjoyed a purple patch recently, which can be extended by Desert Lightning, who edges preference over Sergeant Lewis, who has nothing to lose by having another crack in this sort of company before moving on to handicaps. Danzolin and Gasping are interesting newcomers to take notes on as things unfold, while King Marrakech (a stablemate of the latter) is another to be respected on his pedigree but he might be better over slightly further. However, the debut run of Desert Lightning stands out as a good standard for the others to aim for at present and he is expected to deliver the goods this time around.
