Verdict
A low-grade handicap in which few can boast solid recent form so a chance is taken that Night Kiss can defy an absence of over three months to oblige. Richard Hannon's filly showed useful form in the context of this race when lifting a 26-runner seller over this trip at Newmarket in October. The daughter of Night Shift ran creditably in defeat here before Christmas and should prove effective off a handicap mark of 58 particularly with her useful claimer on board. Downtherefordancin comes here in fair form having finished runner-up in a claimer over course and distance last time which gives him every chance while Proud Victor has been running in slightly better grade of late and should make his presence felt at this level. Badou is slipping down the weights and can't be dismissed but Essequibo has shown he is better suited to Fibresand.
