Verdict
The ex-Irish Beyond The Pole is well in on official BHB ratings dropped into claiming company for the first time in this country but after just one start for current connections it is difficult to know how much ability he retains. Very few of these have shown any worthwhile form recently so in a moderate contest it may pay to side with Andrew Balding's Vitelucy who found just Orthodox too good in a maiden over course and distance last time, staying on strongly to take second place close home albeit six lengths adrift of the winner. Admittedly that was the first time in 11 career starts that the Claire Balding-owned filly had even been placed but, in such a poor contest and off a low weight, she makes most appeal. Karl Burke's Zarza Bay, another off a lightweight, lost no caste in defeat behind Sir Mark Prescott's Parachute earlier in the month and is another to consider along with Rod Millman's Prince Atraf who is well treated on his best but out of form. Red Morocco, Paylander and Kennet all have long absences to overcome but the last mentioned has gone well when fresh in the past and should not be discounted lightly.
