        Verdict

        Just the eight runners stand their ground for this seller including I'm Aimee, Bob's Flyer, Little Biscuit and Straffan, who all have claims but the vote goes to Russian Rio. Admittedly the selection has an absence to overcome but trainer Pat Haslam is quite capable of producing one fit after a lay off and a reproduction of the form shown in maidens last year should suffice in this lowly grade. Wolverhampton selling winner Bob's Flyer has more to do under a penalty today and a bigger threat may come from the David Evans-trained I'm Aimee, who takes a drop in class and holds solid claims on the pick of her best efforts. Straffan just has the edge over Little Biscuit on official BHB ratings but there should not be a great deal to chose between the pair and both have to be respected along with Milton Bradley's Feminist. Pat Haslam looks to have found a suitable opportunity for Russian Rio to open his account though and he is taken to do so.
