In depth

Verdict

Areyoutalkingtome appears to have a straightforward task and should make light of today's opponents, the best of whom should be Montpellier and Alqaab. Areyoutalkingtome not only has by far the most experience, but has taken on far better company, having contested last season's Royal Lodge, and more recently finishing a very creditable fourth to Killybegs in the Craven Stakes. Nothing here can match that, and although he will be a short price, Charles Cyzer's charge will prove very hard to beat. Montpellier shaped well on his Windsor bow when a place behind subsequent winner Duty in the race won by the useful Red Rocks. He looks the one to chase home the selection, with perhaps Alqaab best of the remainder. He has just been brought along steadily and could be one to follow in handicaps this summer. The market may reveal whether Soubriquet is fancied, but there can only be one winner on form, and that is Areyoutalkingtome.
