Verdict
Having failed to stay seven furlongs last time, Teyaar has to be respected back over today's trip but Norma Macauley's gelding seems to be in the grip of the handicapper now and preference is for Roman Quintet, who gets the verdict over Woodbury. The last mentioned has not raced on the all-weather since February and has been disappointing in the main since so now returns on what looks a favourable mark. Having shown signs of a return to form on her last two starts on turf, Karl Burke's filly has to be respected. Former inmate Legal Set has a good overall record at this track but has yet to trouble the judge since joining his current yard, while Mistral Sky, a winner here over seven furlongs last month, drops back in trip today and is another worthy of a mention. However, it is Roman Quintet who gets the vote. David Arbuthnot's gelding is entitled to strip fitter for two recent outings following a three-month break and, off what looks a favourable mark, he gets the vote.
