Verdict
Very little form to go on here so the tentative vote goes to Bobby Charles, with Luce and Majestic Star both expected to show improvement. John Scargill's gelding is starting to get the hang of things and wasn't beaten far into fourth behind Song Of Vala at Southwell last time. The third home was successful in a maiden on Monday so the form could be quite decent and he has as good a chance as any. Luce and Majestic Star have similar profiles. Luce, trained by Hughie Morrison, had just one outing on the turf at Thurles, he was beaten a fair way but had some decent performers behind and should go close if handling the Polytrack. Meanwhile Majestic Star's only outing came in a hot maiden at Newbury in October, he should be capable of improvement and could reach the frame at a decent price. Screenplay and Cils have shown form in modest events and could prove best of the remainder, but in what looks a very weak contest Bobby Charles gets the vote.
