In depth
Verdict
Lyrical Way gets the vote over Coronado Forest, True Companion and Zawrak, with Karaoke expected to come on for the run. Lyrical Way humped a big weight to victory in similar circumstances in December, with Zawrak back in third, and more recently finished fourth in a class E, also over the course and distance. He should go well with his style of running and is the pick to return to winning ways. He meets Zawrak on the same terms, but the latter is obviously though capable of scoring, having been backed off the boards from 33-1 to 4-1 in the first race mentioned. He was a little unlucky in running a week ago, again finishing third, but shapes as though a step up in trip would suit. Coronado Forest had plenty of use made of him when opening his account here at the 20th time of asking. Topweight may be a bit harsh but now that he has tasted victory, more may be forthcoming. True Companion has it to do with the selection on recent running, but was a winner on Turf at Newbury last year, and dual Nottingham winner Karaoke makes his Polytrack debut after a long break. He should be kept in mind for the future, but for now, Lyrical Way makes more appeal.
