Verdict
Accleration could have too much speed for his rivals and is given the nomination ahead of Riyadh, Ocean Tide and Overstrand. The selection is bang in form having won at Newcastle last time when defeating Magic Combination. He is raised 6lbs for that win but may still be one step ahead of the handicapper and he is taken to score. Riyadh hails from the Mark Johnston yard and along with Ocean Tide is dropped in grade. Both could be capable of going well at this level but it is a while since either of these two have troubled the judge and they may be best watched once again unless there is significant market support behind either of them. Overstrand is fit from running over hurdles and would certainly have decent claims if he could reproduce his latest run on this track when third behind Escayola in a class C handicap. However, with question marks over a number of these, we will stick with the solid recent form of Accleration who has the services of the in-form Paul Hanagan and is given the vote.
