    Verdict

    VIVA VERGLAS followed up a course and distance victory in June by winning a York nursery under top weight, despite rearing as the stalls opened. He looks a progressive sprinter and should complete the hat-trick in this getting 5lb from the unbeaten Mick's Yer Man, who hasn't been seen since scoring over track and trip in March and tackles quicker ground for the first time. Back Lane won a Pontefract maiden last month and may have more to offer but Robynelle and the once-raced Rebel Code look up against it.
