In depth

Verdict

PEARL SPICE has been much improved over 2m recently so how he'll handle this drop back in distance is anybody's guess. He has also collected a second penalty after winning at Kempton on Tuesday but faces distinctly modest opposition here and may well be good enough to complete the hat-trick. Grand Diamond has been making hay in this grade this season and looks the main danger under 7lb claimer Jordan Nason as Weybridge Light and Vittachi would probably prefer a stiffer test of stamina. Foolbythepool has only run once this year and this will be his first try beyond a mile.
