Verdict
Celtic Legend gets the confident vote in this amateur riders¿ handicap chase with Atomic Breeze and Pornic put forward as the most likely dangers. The selection found himself short of room when narrowly beaten in a driving finish at Sedgefield last time behind Caribbean Cove. This is a slightly easier race and with conditions to suit he will not get a better opportunity to get his head in front. Atomic Breeze was 15lbs out of the handicap when putting up a much-improved effort when fourth behind Weaver George last time, but he is dropped in trip here and as all his best form has been over further he is hard to recommend. Pornic has a leading amateur on board and he is eased in grade slightly, but he is fairly exposed and a place looks the best that he can hope for. Mr Laggan is interesting as he won this race last year, but he has been badly out of form of late and can't be backed with any confidence. This is an interesting contest to open the card, and we will give the nomination to Celtic Legend.
