In depth

Verdict

Darrens Hope has to concede weight due to her Listed success at Cork but, though unable to build on that, she's had excuses and is greatly respected. LA CHANTEUSE has found her form in no uncertain terms, easily landing a Fairyhouse maiden before an even more convincing victory at Down Royal. She deserves a crack at this level and gets the nod though Atlantic Fairy made all in a Limerick maiden and came home 20 lengths clear so is an obvious threat. Global Equity has run into some smart performers and ran a tremendous race in a Grade B handicap at Leopardstown while the four-year-old Curious Bride is improving fast, though her Punchestown victory came over the minimum trip. The Sliding Rock, a winner over 2m6f in October, was staying on strongly over slightly shorter in a Listed contest at Punchestown next time.
