In depth
Verdict
This doesn't look the strongest of Newbury maidens and of those to have run, Silver Chime looks to have the best form on offer, but that isn't saying much and she may do better when going handicapping. Reem Al Barari, a March foal, has been given plenty of time and deserves plenty of respect, while Compton Earl is out of a mare that won over seven-furlongs. He is equipped with a tongue-strap for his racecourse debut and is one to keep an eye on. However, a chance is taken with Sabalara, who isn't exactly bred for speed, as she is out of a mare that won an Irish bumper, but there are signs that her stable are running into form at long last and it may be worth taking a chance with her. Clifton Lass and Paulines Gem are others to consider.
