    Verdict

Memorial Day continued his good progress when dead-heating for first with Libran at York last month. A below-par Xinbama was well beaten in that York race and the Godolphin charge should make another bold bid. But FRACTAL may just edge this as he ran out of ground when producing a late burst at Haydock last time to finish a close-up third behind Penhill - his turn of foot should stand him in good stead if there is no pace in the race. Watersmeet has the past form to figure but has not been at his best of late.
