Sweet Pickle was brought with a superbly timed run by Jamie Spencer to win at Windsor last month but Jim Boyle's mare is not the easiest of rides for an inexperienced apprentice so she may be best watched here and preference is for Sun Catcher, with Tamino rated the pick of the remainder. The selection probably found the going too testing at Chepstow last time and is better judged on earlier form that gives him solid claims in what seems a relatively weak contest. Proud Killer looks to be going the right way judged by his latest effort at Lingfield, while Caustic Wit has been running consistently well but may just need some help from the handicapper. Tamino probably found the ground too testing at Yarmouth last time but still ran well and has claims on earlier form but preference is for Richard Hannon's Sun Catcher, who gets the vote under the useful Hadden Frost.
