Verdict

An interesting novice event with a number of improving types in opposition but Marcus Eile is just preferred. Karl Burke's charge caught the eye when a close second behind a useful sort on his debut over course and distance late last month and duly obliged at Beverley last week. The son of Daggers Drawn was impressive at the Yorkshire venue where he showed his effectiveness on a fast surface and he should take plenty of beating. Fiore di Bosco showed plenty of speed to make a winning debut at Southwell but this represents a step up in class while Amber Legend already shapes as though this may be on the sharp side. Ali's Oasis was a narrow winner at Musselburgh but needs to show more while Miss Brookie won well at Thirsk last time but is a little more exposed.
