In depth

Verdict

George Margarson's Internationalguest is back over his optimum trip and has to be respected but preference here is for the three-year-olds with Just A Fluke getting the vote over Burning Moon. The last mentioned is trained by Jeremy Noseda and steps up in trip for his first venture outside of maiden-company. The son of Bering may improve for the longer trip but needs to if he is to get the better of Just A Fluke. Mark Johnston's horse showed his best form so far when chasing home Little Jimbob over the stiff extended nine furlongs at Carlisle last time and is taken to make the most of the weight that he receives from some more experienced rivals. James Bethell's Leighton has been facing an uphill battle against the handicapper since his juvenile days and may struggle to concede weight away all round, even in this grade. Summer Bounty has given the impression that the handicapper may have his measure now and of more interest may be Tim Easterby's Go Tech, who ran his best race of the campaign when chasing home the consistent Olivia Rose at Ripon last time. Eastern Dagger and John's Champ look out of their depth in a race that is taken to go to Just A Fluke.
