Verdict
Chorist should have too much class for her six rivals in what appears to be a sub-standard Listed event, with Monturani the pick of the remainder. Chorist won four timnes last year and Willie Haggas' filly showed she retains all of her ability when splitting the useful Zee Zee Top and Aldora (who has won twice since) at York on her only start this season. She is likely to improve for that, but this looks a much softer race and it is hard to envisage her being beaten here, so she looks the best bet on the day's card. The rest are little more than fair handicappers, with the possible exception of Monturani, who put a disappointing seasonal debut behind her when splitting subsequent winners Macadamia and Rhyme Intrinseca at Pontefract. Geoff Wragg's filly had some very smart form as a juvenile and is the only serious danger here, but Chorist still gets the nap vote.
