This looks a sub-standard renewal as likely favourite Judicial, runner-up in 2018, only finished seventh last year, behind Major Jumbo but ahead of Tarboosh. Well Done Fox had a successful-but-busy campaign as a juvenile, running 10 times. He only managed two starts last year but Richard Hannon has kept him in training and that should be a pointer in itself. Far Above has won three of his four starts, including one in Listed company, and this isn’t a big step up but all of Hareem Queen’s victories have come on the all-weather. Michael Dods can’t rely on Mabs Cross this year but QUEENS GIFT is a decent substitute as the mare was making excellent progress in the autumn, only going down by a head to the now 112-rated Equilateral at Doncaster. Shades Of Blue also has decent claims on her third at Longchamp in September but Moss Gill is unproven outside of handicaps.
