Verdict

Calculation improved when stepped up to 1m6f last year so this looks an insufficient test of stamina on his return. Byron Flyer also needs further but there are possibilities about Amazing Red and Indianapolis while Rock Eagle is a course and distance winner, though has been off the track for more than 12 months. DEJA goes well fresh and has an excellent strike-rate on Turf and the all-weather. Gelded since racing too freely at Newcastle in November, Peter Chapple-Hyam’s charge can add to his impressive tally. Nate The Great rather lost his way last year and has switched to Andrew Balding from Archie Watson but the champion gets the leg up so he’s worth a market check.
