Verdict
A very tricky contest and a far from confident nomination goes the way of Shahmina, while Gordonsville and Nimra have the experience to figure strongly and can exploit any weaknesses shown by their lightly raced rival. The top weighted Art Investor is another to bear in mind if backed, as he is better than he showed on his reappearance and is worth keeping tabs on in the betting. Nimra was unraced, as a juvenile but has shown ability in each of her three starts to date. However, she has been found wanting for a turn of foot and now needs to sharpen her act. Gordonville ran well at Goodwood last time and has the proven stamina to make his presence known. However, Shahmina is open to stacks of improvement and, with the assistance of Jimmy Fortune, this sister to the smart Sundari rates as fair value to have the edge if this boils down to a sprint for the line.
