Prince Cyrano, unlucky in running at Windsor last time, is fancied to resume winning ways here; however, this is a competitive sprint handicap and the likes of Polar Force, Golden Dixie and Ocean Gift also have reasonable claims. The latter named drops back in trip having scraped home in maiden company at Salisbury last time but is certainly going the right way at present. Polar Force ran exceptionally well from what was a poor draw at Salisbury last time, finish a half length runner-up to Willhewiz, with favourite Golden Dixie a further half length away in third. Although this is a slightly better race, he has plenty of speed and seems sure to run well from just a two pounds higher mark. But for our selection we side with Willie Musson's Prince Cyrano. This six-year-old put up a sterling performance on his reappearance last month at Leicester, when he made all of the running to score in ready fashion. Somewhat surprisingly, he did not race as prominently on his next start at Windsor but was still in the process of running a big race when hampered just inside the final furlong. With a nice looking draw in stall 15, Prince Cyrano is likely to be up there from the word go, and is taken to score his second success of the season.
