Verdict

We are going to side with Nanabanana here, with the dangers looking to be Bibury Flyer, All For Laura and Siena Gold. Looking at the runners. Bibury Flyer won her second Listed race of the season in game fashion at Newbury last time but, very likeable as she is, she had a hard race that day and it will be interesting to see how she has come out of it. All For Laura may have found seven furlongs too far for her last time but a return to this trip and the form she showed over it when fifth to the Cheveley Park Stakes runner-up, Suez, at Salisbury the time before entitles her to fair claims. Bunditten was a respectable seventh in the Cornwallis Stakes last time and, on formlines using Castelletto, has three lengths to find on All For Laura. Siena Gold looked very decent earlier in the season, listing the Weatherbys Super Sprint among her three wins but has been beaten since, including when stepped up to six furlongs for the first time last time. However, as long as the going is not too holding, she cannot be ruled out of things as she has been highly tried in her last two starts. The others look to have to improve on what they have so far shown, although there is a chance that they will do so. This brings us to the French raider Nanabanana. She has shown a liking for seven furlongs and give in the going so far, and has displayed smart form in the process. However, the form of her second to Dubai Surprise in the Prestige Stakes at Goodwood last time out reads well in the context of this race. Her trainer is very shrewd indeed and, as she sends her over for this contest, we will side with her too.
