Verdict
Joseph Henry catches our eyes here and gets the call ahead of Valjarv, Word Perfect, Our Fugitive, Totally Yours and Nota Bene. The Mark Johnston-trained selection has been competing fairly well at a decent level this season, including when third over today's trip to Andronikos at Doncaster last time in a Listed race. If he performs to the level of that form here, he looks the one to beat. With solid form at around the 90 mark (the selection is rated 100), Valjarv should be competitive for a place, while the lightly raced Nota Bene certainly has the scope to improve upon his rating of 84 following a Windsor maiden win. However, the Listed placed Golden Anthem holds better claims if returning to the level of her Listed summer placing. Word Perfect's York third to Ingleton last time reads as pretty good form and we know that she will handle the going ok, while Our Fugitive is closely weighted with her using the same horse as the form benchmark. If cheekpieces bring about a return to the best form of Totally Yours, then he too would have chances but, overall, we will just side with Joseph Henry to enable the juveniles to get the better of the three-year-olds.
