        Verdict

        Nelson's Spice gets the narrow vote in this maiden hurdle with Olivino and Smart Tiger rating the main dangers. The selection was a fair third on his hurdling debut behind Able King and although he will be better over a longer trip in time he is taken to win this poor affair. Olivino rates the main danger on his latest second behind Go Free but hr lacks the scope of the selection and is passed over for that reason. Smart Tiger is another that could go well but he has looked a short runner and may be seen to better effect in handicaps. Of the remainder American Duke pulled to hard on his debut and will need to settle better if he is to score and with this in mind for the winner we return to Nelson's Spice.
