In depth
Verdict
This should work out as a match between Val De Fleurie and Early Edition, with preference just for the latter, who looks capable of plenty of improvement, while Andrew Doble should not be discounted. Early Edition learned quickly from his first outing last month to land a similar contest over course and distance on Monday, winning going away by seven lengths and leaving them all standing after the last. With more to come judged on that effort and with a 3lb weight advantage, he is just preferred to Val De Fleurie. The latter made a winning return to hurdles here last time, scoring by 11 lengths and will undoubtedly be a threat to the selection. These two should finish clear, but the mare may have to give best this time around, Andrew Doble looks best of the rest and can make the frame. A rangy individual, the four-year-old has plenty of experience in this sphere, and if his abortive effort last time - which came after a break - has blown off the cobwebs, the he can see off the remainder of the field for third place. However, will stick with one of the form horses, Early Edition.
