Verdict
Top Jaro is a speculative choice in a wide open handicap, where Carlitos Spirit, Jord and Cornerstone are others to bear in mind. The last named has fewer miles on the clock than most and is unexposed at the trip. He is a half-brother to numerous sprinters but lacks the turn of foot held by his siblings. The state of the ground is concern but any support in the betting ring would be dangerous to ignore. Jord is capable at this level and, as he has been in good heart without winning of late, he is a fair option for each-way punters to think about on these terms. Carlitos Spirit has also gone close in a number of All Weather contests recently and is very much respected on that form. Still, the handicapper has done him no favours and he needs everything to go his way. Therefore, it can be profitable to take a chance with Top Jaro, who confirmed his well being with a near miss at Musselburgh 10 days ago. That run will have put him spot on for this and the David Barker-trained gelding just gets the nod to come good this time around.
