In depth

Verdict

A very tough race to fathom and Let It Be is only a tentative choice to lead this large field of underachievers home. There are plenty of dangers though and moves for the likes of Summerise, Mystic Moon and Strangely Brown should not be dismissed too readily as all could play a leading role in a race such as this. Given A Chance handled the heavy ground at Warwick recently and is another to consider if money arrives to back up his claims this afternoon. However, Let It Be seems to be getting the hang of things lately and is worth another chance after posting an improved display at Ripon last time. It is also worth noting that Mary Reveley does well with her raids to Nottingham with her small string of horses for the Flat and it will be no surprise to see the shrewdest granny of them all take another chunk of prize-money back to the north east if all goes well for her charge here.
