      Verdict

FIREWATER was hampered at the start at Chester on his first run in a handicap but was staying on in the closing stages and will almost certainly be suited by this extra furlong - Yellow Fire is held on that run. Strawberry Jack is out of a winning miler and has been getting outpaced over 6f. George Scott’s gelding looks a big threat and Hallalulu is another who will appreciate the longer distance. Dr Smolder and One To Go have been showing gradual improvement and can’t be ignored.
