In depth

Verdict

Side Effect and Needs To Be Seen are making their debut for new connections. Both showed ability in Ireland and are worth a market check, though handicaps will probably be on the agenda in the near future. Spanish Archer has been gelded since a debut fourth here in May and his yard is struggling for winners at present. The Queen’s SEXTANT (NAP) is a Sea The Stars colt out of a mare that has produced winners with her first three offspring to race. He still holds an entry in the Great Voltigeur and will need to make a winning debut in this to justify going to York. Gates Pass looks best of the rest.
