Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

A typical Nottingham sprint, maximum turnout and plenty of runners from Milton Bradley's Chepstow base. It has paid to follow the welsh handlers runners here this term and with three representatives he has a strong hand. The consistent Threat could be the one, even though he has gone 25 runs since he was last successful. He has several decent efforts in defeat to his name this term and confirmed his well-being when just touched off by stablemate Pulse at Bath earlier this week. This is a drop in class for him and he should make no mistake. No shortage of dangers including Muqtadi, who normally gives himself plenty to as he has a habit of missing the break. If getting away on level terms he will be difficult to keep out of the frame. Sergeant Slipper does most of his racing on the sand, but the last time he came to Colwick Park, it was in a similar contest to this where he finished a close-up fourth. His chance is there for all to see. Savile's Delight takes a big drop in class and although he has plenty in hand on official ratings, he could well be flattered by his current mark as he hasn't looked the same horse since coming over from Irealnd. So this looks best left to Threat, who can gain an overdue success.
