Verdict
A field large on numbers but low on quality and this race should revolve around Karju, Skenfrith and Reviers Moon. With the confident vote going to Skenfrith. The gelding was a good second behind Muldoon in a similar contest last time under similar conditions and a reproduction of that effort would make him hard to beat. Karju was well backed last time out at Cartmel but could manage only second. He travelled well on that occasion but found little off the bridle and for that reason he is opposed. Reivers Moon is also a danger to all he is sure to have improved for his hurdling debut when second behind Ramblees Holly. However that was with cut in the ground and he may find this ground to lively. Salmon Ladder is from a shrewd Irish yard and is worth a cautionary look in the market.
