      Verdict

      An interesting opener featuring three previous winners and the vote goes to Lady Piste while Baylaw Star and Ivory Lace rate the main dangers. The David Evans-trained filly confirmed the undoubted promise of her debut effort when a comfortable Chester maiden winner over this trip next time. The daughter of Ali-Royal looks the type to continue to progress and should prove capable of defying a 7lb penalty at this level. Baylaw Star defeated a decent rival at Hamilton in April but had the benefit of previous experience on that occasion and had his limitations exposed on his latest start at Redcar. Ivory Lace had put up a string of placed efforts before finally opening her account over course and distance last time but that was a weak affair and more is required here while George The Best ran below expectations last time but is a lively outsider on the form of his debut second in a fair event at Hamilton last month.
