Verdict
Just an ordinary event and marginal preference is for Mai Tai ahead of Moyne Pleasure, McGillycuddy Reeks and Thunder Canyon. The George Moore-trained mare showed plenty of resolution under pressure to land a seller over this trip at Southwell last month and was then far from disgraced when third in a similar event next time. Still fairly treated on the pick of last year's form, and with conditions in her favour, she should give another good account. Moyne Pleasure comes here in fair form but is likely to find this on the sharp side while McGillycuddy Reeks is a fairly consistent type who remains well treated but is on a very long losing sequence and may have to settle for a place once again. Thunder Canyon was in good form towards the back end of last season, scoring over this trip on the all-weather at Wolverhampton, but has been well below his best over hurdles of late and returns to the level on a stiffish mark.
