Verdict
A competitive field goes to post for this handicap hurdle and many can be given chances on there best form and a chance is taken on Longshanks. The gelding from the Kim Bailey yard won well when defeating Majority Verdict last time out. He appears to be on a handy mark for this his handicap debut and with conditions in his favour he will not be far away. Derivative rates the main danger on his win at Ayr when defeating Castle Richard but he has since dissapointed off this mark at Sandown. Vandas Choice won well over course and distance last time out but that was on a faster surface and he may not be as effective on this slower ground. Cosmic Case is well weighted on his best form but has never won over a trip this far before. Finbars Law was a fair second behind Irelands Eye last time out but this is a much stronger race and he needs to improve again to score. Of the remainder Sir Edward Burrow is from a yard in form and is worth a cautionary look in the market.
