    Verdict

A large field goes to post for this contest but not many can be given a serious chance of winning and the confident vote goes to Blyth Brook won a similar contest at Newcastle last time out and a reproduction of that effort would make him hard to beat. Miss Portcello rates the main danger after a good second behind Ourman last time and with conditions in her favour she should not be far away. Polyphon has been in fair form between the flags and has a top amateur booked so is worth a cautionary look in the market. The remainder need to improve dramatically to trouble the judge.
