Verdict
Kadount has been largely disappointing since being switched to fences this term but looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to open his account and is taken to do so at the main expense of Limerick Boy and Greenhope. The selection was unexposed over hurdles but trainer Alan King has wasted no time in putting the son of Our Account over the larger obstacles and a reproduction of his second to the useful Trabolgan at Lingfield two starts ago should suffice. Trabolgan's stablemate Greenhope lost no caste in defeat behind Made In Japan on his only previous start over fences at Kempton in November but has since disappointed back over hurdles and, like most of Nicky Henderson's horses may be best watched at present. Bound is held by Greenhope on Kempton form and may again struggle under his penalty, while Henrietta Knight's Widemouth Bay lacks any previous experience over fences and is difficult to recommend with any confidence. A bigger threat then may come from the Venetia Williams-trained Limerick Boy, who is entitled to strip fitter for his recent return. Kadount has an obvious chance though and is taken to open his account over fences.
