Verdict

Inexplicable gained the eighth victory of his career, all on the all-weather, at Wolverhampton on Saturday for which he's penalised. He's only run twice on Turf and been unplaced in both. Back From Dubai has had his last nine starts at Southwell and though he won a Doncaster maiden last summer that was on fast ground. Shabs is 0-19 and another better known on the all-weather circuit. Tim Easterby's yard has hit form and LITTLE TED, whose last success was a year ago from 5lb higher, looked to have dropped to a winnable mark on his reappearance at Thirsk. Mr Strutter has won a dozen times in a long career and may not be finished yet judging by an encouraging reappearance here.
