Verdict
This is a far more competitive race than the opener, but The Judge appears to be in good heart and is taken to follow up his recent Beverley success, with Factor Fifteen, Castleshane and Swynford Pleasure the biggest dangers. The Judge gave Factor Fifteen four pounds and a half length beating at Beverley recently, and although the latter is now a pound better off, Paul Cole's five-year-old won the Spring Cup off just a two pound lower mark last year and is capable of further improvement, so he is just fancied to confirm the form. Castleshane was also victorious on his last start, making all of the running to score in game fashion at Ripon. He loves to dominate and is sure to make a bold bid from the front once again here. Recent Thirsk third Swynford Pleasure is in good heart and is another with good claims, along with the lightly-raced Fisio Therapy, but The Judge appears to have the soundest claims and is a worthy selection.
