Verdict
Zonic Boom, Kaymich Perfecto and Rock Lobster form the shortlist in another competitive handicap and the vote is given to Zonic Boom. The selection won well last time at Nottingham when narrowly getting the better of Mister Right. He is stepped up in trip here which should suit and this game and consistent 5-year-old should be capable of scoring again. Kaymich Perfecto is a hold-up horse who will need some luck-in-running, but he is in good heart at present and confirmed that last time when a close third behind Jubilee Street at Catterick. However, he is unproven over this longer trip and on that basis we will oppose him. Rock Lobster was doing his best work at the finish over 1m at Nottingham last time when fourth behind Iskander, so he will be suited by the extra furlong and he should be good enough to make the frame. Newcorp Lad would have claims on the pick of his form but has been a little disappointing of late and for the winner we return to Zonic Boom.
