In depth

Verdict

The vote here goes to Royal Jet ahead of Banba and Red Racketeer. Banba steps up in trip following a fair Newmarket effort, although he is not fully proven on going with give in it. Red Racketeer ran respectably on this type of surface at Leicester last time on his handicap debut and should have better to come. The handicapper seems to have got Bentley Brook's mark about right at present, although he can still go well, but Royal Jet has been running well of late and can go well again as he seemed to handle easy going on his only try on it so far. Cordage remains potentially well-weighted, but we've been saying that for a while now, while Just Waz needs to find some improvement, although his best run to date came on soft going. Overall, though, we will side with Royal Jet as the selection.
