James Bethell's Patricks Lodge has not shown a great deal of ability in better races than this and has to be considered being dropped in grade to a seller for the first time but it is hard to get away from MINORTRANSGRESSION, who gets the vote with Market Puzzle rated the pick of the remainder. The selection is probably higher than he should be in the weights for handicaps at present being rated 73 and he was well held in a Thirsk maiden when last seen in May but he has plenty in hand on official BHA ratings and should take all of the beating. John Wainwright's Cygnet Committee has run creditably in handicaps in his last two starts but faces no easy task at the weights being rated just 45, while Emeralds Spirit has given little cause for optimism in recent starts. Sultan's Choice has struggled since winning a seller at Catterick last year and of more interest may be Mark Brisbourne's Market Puzzle, who has run a couple of decent races in handicaps this term at Southwell and at Redcar last time. Minortransgression has an obvious chance at the weights though and is hard to oppose.
