Verdict
In what looks a fairly tricky race, Distinctly Game is given the vote over Dahteer, Black Combe Lady, Wolds Dancer and Twice Nightly. The selection put up a solid effort on his debut at Hamilton when second to Sea Hunter despite running very green. He should improve on that although it is interesting to note that he was beaten by a Mick Channon runner on that occasion. Therefore, the betting market should be watched with great interest here because Channon runs the debutant Dahteer. Other newcomers to note are Mark Johnston's Hearthstead Wings, Tim Easterby's Wolds Dancer and Alan Berry's Black Combe Lady. Of those to have run, Twice Nightly showed plenty of promise on his Thirsk debut and should appreciate the extra furlong today. As we say, pay heed to the betting but, without that knowledge, Distinctly Game certainly looks to hold a solid chance.
