Verdict

Dunkerron brings very solid juvenile form into this contest. He was fourth in the July Stakes before leading until inside the final furlong in the Vintage Stakes at Goodwood when finishing just over a length ahead of Confiding. Arthur Kitt is two from two having followed up a maiden win with victory in the Chesham Stakes at Ascot. Watan started favourite for the Acomb Stakes at York after winning his maiden at Goodwood but found one too good and will need more here. Victory Command has rattled up a hat-trick over this trip recently but is more exposed than the majority of his rivals and may come up short. TOO DARN HOT has a top-class middle-distance pedigree and connections will have classic aspirations after he easily landed the odds in a maiden over a mile here last month. This is a step up but he has untapped potential.
