        Verdict

        Well-backed three-year-olds have won the last two runnings of this so any market support for John Gosden’s Dive For Gold would have to be taken seriously, though the Dubawi colt looks a shade high in the weights. Dream Machine was given plenty to do when last in action at Windsor having looked progressive previously. COMPTON MILL has only been raised 2lb for winning an amateurs’ race here last month. Hughie Morrison’s charge won off this mark last year and De Sousa rides so he looks the one to be on, though Man Of Harlech hasn’t been disgraced in better company since scoring at Lingfield in May. Dark Pearl has only managed one win so far but is quite consistent, though would have preferred an extra quarter-mile at least.
